Matthew spent his first birthday, where else? Disneyland! Matthew's favorite Sunday CM at the Disneyland Baby Care Center told us that Mickey wanted Matthew to have this doll for his birthday!!

On 9/20/99, Grandma Veva's birthday, Matthew had Thai food for the first time. He ate shrimp and Mee Krob and Tofu and rice balls that Mommy and Grandma Veva made with the sticky rice. He also got sweet rice with custard and coconut ice cream for dessert.

Matthew wore his Stride Rites for the very first time on 9/26/99. Here are some pics of him walking around the Hub at Disneyland in them. He doesn't really like shoes, but he seems to be used to them now. He walks like Frankenstein, taking heavy, deliberate steps!
