Grand Auntie* Nancy visited from St. Louis in July. Grammy the Great invited us to dinner to visit Grand Auntie Nancy (she even changed the date so we could make it!) So off we went for dinner on July 20, 2001.

Matthew sat in this little chair for dinner (and did a great job!) It is the same chair that his Great Grandpa Adrian bought for Mommy to use when she was a little girl.

*Why do people call your parents parents Grandparents but your parents aunts are Great Aunts? It makes no sense to me, so I prefer to keep each generation on the same scale, thank you very much...

Here Auntie Nancy poses with a very tired Matthew and Spencer.

Auntie Nancy and Uncle Mike selected a very special gift for Spencer: They went to Build-A-Bear in St. Louis and adopted Spunky! Now Spencer has his own Build-A-Bear, just like Matthew's bear, Stuffy. Guess who gave Matthew his Build-A-Bear?

On Sunday, July 22, we decided to go visit the Orange County Fair.

There really isn't anything else on earth quite like Fair food, is there?

Because we arrived around noon, we pretty much started the day with lunch. Here's Matthew eating a corndog with one of his favorite vegetables on earth: Ketchup.

Matthew later rode on a brown pony named "Dixie." After his ride, he and Spencer posed on some nearby haystacks... Spencer was a little hungry.
